Netflix Announces ‘Batman Ninja’ will Premiere on Streaming Service, Release Date Revealed

If you haven’t had a chance to see the Bat-crap crazy Batman Ninja yet, you should begin studying the necessary hand seals to find the time. No need to purchase it on Blu-ray or streaming, it’s now coming to one of the most subscribed streaming services around, Netflix.

Batman Ninja was released earlier this year, in April. The title may have been slightly redundant and little bit inaccurate according to the trailers, but at the very least, you knew that it was influenced by the Land of the Rising Sun. It was to be an anime film unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. If you have managed to watch it, you definitely know what I’m talking about.

WB/DC were not messing around when they wanted this flick to be an anime movie. They rounded up a crew anime veterans to create this monster. Kill la Kill head writer Kazuki Nakashima wrote the script, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure producer Junpei Mizusaki directed it, and Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki designed the characters. Together, they somehow created something derivative, unique, and insane.

Netflix celebrated Batman Day

Yesterday, on Batman Day, Netflix gave Batfans a nice little gift. Using their geek-focused social media channel, NX, they announced that not only was Batman Ninja coming to Netflix, but it will be very soon.

In just a little over a month, without having to purchase/rent it, you’ll be able to stream Batman Ninja from home. Of course, this is only after you’ve scrolled through your available choices for hours. Though I wasn’t the biggest fan of Batman Ninja, it is definitely worth a watch. There is no point in this movie where you will be bored. It is an experience. I can’t quite describe what type of experience, but you will have an experience.

In case you somehow forgot it, check the trailer below:

Be sure to stream Batman Ninja on October 26.
