Scott Synder Confirms His Big Plans for ‘Justice League’

Scott Snyder assured fans that he plans on writing Justice League for a long time.

On Twitter, Snyder claims that he is laying the groundwork for big Justice League over the course of the next 50 issues.

Just for clarity: I’m on Justice League for at least 50 issues. Not going anywhere for a looong time.

But as readers have noticed, Snyder collaborator James Tynion IV already filled-in a recent issue of Justice League. Snyder commented on that, saying that Tynion will occasionally jump on to write a Legion of Doom-centric issue.

But! Every five or so issues of Justice League will be a LEGION of DOOM chapter where [writer James Tynion IV] tells the story from the villains’ side and reveals big secrets.

Synder’s Next Big Thing

In a comics creator environment where writers typically stay on for a handful of issues, Snyder is a breath of fresh air. His Justice League is aiming for some high concepts that require a lot of narrative world-building. It is slowly building to something bigger in the future. At this past Comic-Con, Snyder teased of what is to come.

Everything is coming back, we want to pay it forward. The Omega Titans, Barbatos, the Forge, it’s all coming back. Everything you read, our goal is to reward. All of it culminates in like a year in like a Metal event. I don’t know if I’m supposed to be saying that but I’m saying it.
