First Two Minutes of ‘Batman Ninja’ Released

Batman Ninja is so close, we can taste it. The anime movie featuring our favorite Caped Crusader will be hitting digital shelves in just two days. It was announced in October last year and was definitely an intriguing project at the time.

A bit of a crossover phenomenon, anime fans and Batfans should really enjoy this insane combination of east and west media. From what we’ve seen in the trailers thus far, the animation looks to be absolutely breathtaking, with samurai-inspired looks to our favorite Batfamily members and Rogues.

Playstation somehow got the first two minutes to the upcoming epic. Check it out below:

Fish out of water… Bat out of cave?

Take a look:

So far, the animation in this clip is a bit stilted and tough to follow at times, which happens in some anime. Hopefully, with Batman’s arrival in Feudal Japan, the animation becomes more fluid. Despite the difficulty in following, the animation is gorgeous, as each character has so much dimensional depth, as opposed to traditionally animated… anime.

Based on the clip, we see that Batman and Catwoman were caught in a blast that transported them to the past? Maybe it’s their consciousnesses because as Batman arrives in the middle of this village, he comes across a flyer with a artist rendering of his face. Maybe, there is already a Batman here. This would help to explain why members of the Batfamily are present, when they don’t look like they were present at Arkham Asylum. Roger Craig Smith as Batman and Grey Griffin as Catwoman are always welcome.

Overall, this is exciting and I can’t wait to watch it.

Batman Ninja will hit digital shelves on April 24th. Be sure to download your copy and tell us what you think.
