Signature Rides Announced for Warner Bros. First Indoor Theme Park

The world’s first ever Warner Bros. branded indoor theme park opens its doors this summer in Abu Dhabi. The concept art for which was released back in April. Today, WB has released a little more information:

Revealed for the first time today, a closer look at two of its six themed lands, Metropolis and Cartoon Junction. The other four are Gotham CityBedrockDynamit Gulch and Warner Bros. Plaza.

Metropolis

Iconic to Metropolis’ skyline is none other than The Daily Planet and fans visiting the building will find it home to Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis. Fans are able to jump into this ultimate battle of good versus evil that will decide the fate of Metropolis! Fans can also visit the Hall of Justice and hop on the thrilling Justice League: Warworld Attacks ride. Teaming up with the Justice League as they fight off an invading force from another galaxy.

Other attractions that visitors to Metropolis can enjoy include a 4D “flying theatre” called Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey that transports fans across the galaxy to worlds. Teen Titans Training Academy gives the fans a multi-level play area featuring physical activities, inviting fans to showcase their abilities alongside the Titans themselves!

Cartoon Junction

Taking a trip down memory lane, Cartoon Junction allows patrons to revisit their childhood cartoons. Interacting with characters from cartoons such as Looney ToonsTom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo. In the centre of the town square is the Tom and Jerry Swiss Cheese Spin, where guests can experience a ride, spinning them through the iconic house.

If you take a trip to the outskirts of Cartoon Junction you will find a classic haunted ride in Scooby-Doo: The Museum of Mysteries.

This looks like a fantastic theme park and I look forward to seeing what other attractions they build, as well as how the end product will finally come together.

I certainly hope, should this go well, that Warner Bros. open up a theme park in Europe too.
