Time to get your wallets ready DC collectors! New statues of the Teen Titans, as well as The Joker, Batman, Batgirl and Wonder Woman have been announced by DC Collectibles.
First up is a multi-part statue of the Teen Titans that forms to recreate their famous 1980’s cover of The New Teen Titans #1. Each hero has their own individual 6-inch statue, which will include Starfire, Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl and Raven. When each status is put together, it forms the iconic cover.
Robin and Starfire will be the first heroes on sale in August. Beast Boy and Cyborg will be in September. Wonder Girl, Kid Flash and Raven will be in November. Each statue will be $80.
Also announced by DC Collectibles is a line called DC Core, which will include 9-inch scale PVC statues, starting with Batman, the Joker, Wonder Woman and Batgirl. DC Collectibles’ executive creative director Jim Fletcher had this to say on the PVC statues:
“DC Collectibles is always looking for new ways to bring our rich portfolio of DC Super Heroes and stories to life, and PVC allows us to create complex, exaggerated poses we’ve never tried before. With PVC, we don’t have to worry as much about breakage, since the material is more durable than resin, and we can offer these statues at a lower price point without sacrificing quality. Fans will be amazed at the great attention to detail given to each character, and we hope they are as thrilled with the DC Core designs as we are.”
The Joker will be the first DC Core statue on sale in August, followed by Batman in September, and Batgirl and Wonder Woman in November. They will retail for $50 each.
Will you be adding any of these to your DC collection? If so, let us know which ones!
