DCEU Batman’s Concept Art By Designer Michael Wilkinson

Recently, the artist Jared S. Marantz shared the early stages of the Batman’s suit and concept art. It’s not too far off from the original Batman suit for Batfleck. It carries over aesthetics from the New 52 Batman. Particularly the machine-line frames and outlines. It appears less bulky as well, versus Batman’s current suit in Zack Snyder’s DC films.

The OP writes:

There are a few things that changed by the time It got to the big screen. In Batman versus Superman, we played around with the idea of armor plates showing through the suit and got to see that in the final justice league version. Batman is my favorite character and I always love working him.

It’s a gorgeous design, and there are only a few differences in the live-action suit. This means that the designer, Michael Wilkinson, nailed pretty much most of it. I appreciate the futuristic design. It clicks well with New 52.

Although Justice League received negative reviews from critics, fans are standing by it. Thus far, the DCEU is moving forward with Aquaman on December 21st, Wonder Woman 2 on November 1st, 2019, Shazam on April 5th, 2019, Cyborg in 2020, and Green Lantern Corps in 2020.
