Legendary Artist to Return to Batman

This weekend at Paris Comic-Con, Tim Sale announced that he is working on not one but TWO new Batman projects.

Sale was the artist on some of the most critically acclaimed Batman stories of the 1990’s including Legends of the Dark Knight Halloween Specials, The Long Halloween and Dark Victory and according to a report from Bleeding Cool, it looks like we can expect to see him back again very soon.

Which Batman will be for Sale?

This time he will not joined by frequent collaborator Jeph Loeb. As a team, they worked on many critically acclaimed projects such as Superman for All Seasons, Daredevil: Yellow, Spider-Man Blue and Hulk: Grey and of course, Batman: The Long Halloween and its sequel Dark Victory.

According to Sale, he will be working with writers Tom King and Kyle Higgins on two separate projects. King is currently one of the writers on the main Batman book and Higgins is on Nightwing: The New Order.

It is unknown if Sale be working on either of these books or if he will be working on new projects. Regardless the return of Tim Sale is great news and hopefully we will find out what form it will take before next Halloween.
