New ‘Justice League’ Photo Shows Batman, Flash, and Wonder Woman

It may not seem like it, but we are only 4 short months way from DC’s greatest heroes uniting for the first time on film in Justice League.  With SDCC 2017 right around the corner, Entertainment Weekly released a new, high resolution image of Ezra Miller’s Flash, Ben Affleck’s Batman, and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman from the film.

The image isn’t too dissimilar from another image of the three heroes that was released last year.

Judging by the lighting and the background, it’s difficult to say if this is the same scene at two different angles/points of time or two separate scenes.  It’s also interesting to think about what could be getting their attention.

Wonder Woman has a concerned look on her face, which is shocking knowing how badass she is in Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman.  The Flash looks like this isn’t what he signed up for.  And Batman… well, he has his “I’m Batman” face on, so he’s fine.  Could it be the opening of a Boom Tube with Parademons? Steppenwolf himself? Superman’s return?

Regardless, one thing that seems to be becoming clear is that Flash, Batman, and Wonder Woman might be spending a lot of time on screen together.  We already know that Bruce and Diana will be working together closely to unite the League, and based on the two trailers, Barry is all too eager to join them.  With Superman… unavailable, Arthur Curry declining initially, and little information on Cyborg, fans should be ready for a lot of Flash, Batman, and WW banter in the first half of the film, I’d imagine.

In a recent interview, Ezra Miller compared his Flash joining the Justice League to rock’n’roll.

“He’s this really endearing, altruistic nerd.  He’s the 13-year-old Metallica fan, and Metallica says, ‘We lost our drummer in a freak accident. We need you to play drums, bro!’ I don’t even have drumsticks!”

While just about everyone loves Gal’s Wonder Woman and Ben’s Batman, it could be safe to say Ezra Miller might steal the show with his Flash.  We only have a few short months to find out.

Justice League hits theaters November 17th, 2017.
