Powerless‘ latest TV spot has Vanessa Hudgen’s Emily Locke discovering a shocking secret of her new boyfriend: he is a henchman for the Riddler.
The new promo shows Locke having fun with some sweet new guy, until she finds out that he works for the Riddler when his hench-team has to take over Wayne Security and hold her hostage.
“I really do like you,” he sheepishly says to a tied-up Locke. “I’m just really focused on my career right now.” While disappointing for Locke’s love life, the idea of getting a peek into henchmen’s everyday lives sounds like comedy gold.
Powerless airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
