The fan-favorite Bat-villain Music Meister has been casted for the CW’s The Flash and Supergirl for a musical crossover. He will be played by former Glee cast member Darren Criss.
If you have been keeping up with the Arrowverse shows on the CW, then you probably are eagerly awaiting news on the upcoming musical crossover between The Flash and Supergirl. Criss will menace his fellow Glee alums Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) and Grant Gustin (Flash) as the Music Meister.
Outside of a mini-Glee reunion, The Flash/Supergirl crossover will also feature the musical talents of their shows’ regular cast members Jesse L. Martin, Carlos Valdes, and Jeremy Jordan; in addition to guest stars from Legends of Tomorrow’s Victor Garber and Arrow regular John Barrowman.
The Music Meister is a familiar name to fans of the Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He was a villain created for the series, who used his singing powers to hypnotize villains and heroes alike to fighting Batman in an all-musical episode. The Music Meister was voiced by Neil Patrick Harris on the show, singing such modern classics like “I’m the Music Meister” and “If Only She Would Love Me”.
With The Flash/Supergirl musical crossover set to be on March 20 and 21st, it is safe to say that Criss as the live-action version of the Music Meister will churn out a few more catchy, superhero-themed numbers. In the meantime, prepare to be mesmorized by the music video of “Drive Us Bats”.
