‘Justice League Dark’ Trailer Released

For those of you anxiously awaiting more glimpses into the world of the DC supernatural, you’re in luck! IGN has just released the trailer to the upcoming animated flick, Justice League Dark! Let’s not bury the lead here, I know you want to see it.

Check it below:

Art imitating… art? Bats is recruiting the members of the Justice League Dark just as Batfleck is recruiting members of the Justice League for the upcoming Justice League movie.

Stand out moments for me: When Bats stands up to address the class and invokes the name of John Constantine. And then, when Swamp Thing spoke… goosebumps! Everything is as magical as I’d want it to be. This looks like it’s going to be good.

The flick is rated R, similar to the Killing Joke, which seems pretty important when telling a story about the supernatural with horror elements. It’s being helmed by veteran director Jay Oliva and will feature Matt Ryan as Constantine, Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, and Ray Chase as Etrigan the Demon. Jason O’Mara is returning as the Bats.

Justice League Dark is a superhero team and an offshoot of the regular ‘ol JLA that handles more of the paranormal side of the crime.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there’s any release date yet. You can expect it to hit digital HD and physical media sometime in early 2017, however.
