Today is a special day for Bat-fans, it is the birthday of Batman himself, Adam West.
Today marks West’s 88th birthday. He is still best known as the Caped Crusader from the sixties live-action television show Batman. West’s portrayal has created an entire legion of Bat-fans back in the day with his campy, bombastic style and acting. From his stern, idiosyncratic voice to his unflinchingly rigid morality, West’s Batman remains highly memorable. His Batman was so unique and influential that it still is seen even fifty years later. West-along with his costars Burt Ward and Julie Newmar-will reprise their roles in the upcoming animated movie Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.
