‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ Top the Home Media Sales Chart

Last month, I reported that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was number 1 on the NPD VideoScan charts for home media sales. In that article, I worried about whether or not that BvS would continue its streak considering the fact that its box office run started out well and eventually petered out.

Well, we have an update on that. It turns out that ever since it hit the charts, its #1 spot remained unchallenged. It has remained at #1 as of the week of August 14th. This week, 58% of sales were due to Blu-ray sales. And right behind it, since its debut on the charts on the week of August 8th, is Batman: The Killing Joke. This week, 55% of home media sales were due to Blu-ray.

That means that BvS and the Killing Joke are sitting comfortably at the #1 and #2 spot for the past 2 weeks. Granted, there hasn’t been any strong competition to come out since, but it’s still pretty satisfying to see two DC titles at the top spots of home media sales charts.

Keep those numbers up, Batfans! Let them know we love what they’re putting out.
