Frank Miller Endorses Ben Affleck’s Batman

Let’s be honest, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice has been put through the wringer over the last few months. While many fans enjoyed it, myself included, there were those that did not. One thing, however, seemed to stick out above the negativity: Ben Affleck’s portrayal as the Dark Knight. It seemed that no matter what people thought of the film as a whole, most agreed that Affleck’s performance was astonishingly on point.

Among the celebrities that agree with that statement is none other than Frank Miller! While attending MegaCon 2016 in Orlando, Florida, the famed writer and illustrator attended a Q&A panel where he was more than willing to voice his opinion on Ben Affleck. DC Comics Movie landed the following quote:

“I liked it, he’s a good actor. I mean, he’s obviously very, very close to this material and plays it with great affection.”

Frank Miller, creator of The Dark Knight Returns, is known for his own controversial versions of the Caped Crusader. To this day, fans are divided on Miller’s All Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder; the alternative interpretation of the Batman mythos that received a mixed reception upon its release in 2005. Nevertheless, Frank Miller is certainly among the top creators in the comic business who knows a thing or two about the Dark Knight. When asked about his thoughts on some of the negative feedback for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Miller only had this to say:

“The wonderful thing about the internet is the delete button.”
