Dead Robin’s Identity Revealed

In Batman v Superman, the identity of the dead Robin memorial in the Batcave has indeed been confirmed for Jason Todd.

About a third into the movie, a Robin suit with a graffiti message reading “Ha ha ha, joke’s on you, Batman” was displayed in the Batcave as a tortured Bruce Wayne briefly reflects upon it. The message was from the Joker, implying that he was responsible for Robin’s death, leading to fan speculation that it was Jason Todd, the second Robin, who is known to have canonically died in the comics. According to the Warner Bros Studio Tour video, it is Jason Todd.

The video gives a preview of the DC Universe: The Exhibit tour at the Warner Brothers Hollywood Studio. The tour guide narrates: “This was one of the big things from Batman v Superman, right across this way: the Jason Todd Robin suit. Spray painted on the front ‘Ha ha ha, joke’s on you, Batman.’ Those of you that know the storyline, know what happened to this Robin.”

While not a shocking revelation, this tidbit of information does lead to tantalizing possibilities that Todd can reappear in a solo Batman movie as the Red Hood. Unfortunately, Warner Bros Studios Tour have seemed to have pulled the video of the internet. For more about DC Universe: The Exhibit, check out their website.
