Home & Family, a program that airs on the Hallmark Channel on weekdays at 10am/9c, recently served as the venue where two actresses who have played Catwoman were able to meet for the very first time. Julie Newmar portrayed Catwoman during seasons 1-2 of the 1960s Batman TV series, and Camren Bicondova currently portrays a young Catwoman/Selina Kyle on the FOX TV series, Gotham, which airs on Monday nights at 8/7c.
When asked how close Camren Bicondova’s portrayal is to that which Julie Newmar might have considered a young Catwoman to be, Newmar responds by saying that Bicondova’s portrayal is “purr-fection.”
