Amber Heard Confirms Mera Role in ‘Aquaman’ & ‘Justice League’

While it’s been speculated for a little while, Amber Heard has officially confirmed her role as Mera in the DC cinematic universe. The actress talked to ET to ever so briefly discuss what little she can actually say at this point, revealing some interesting details on the costume.

According to Heard, “It’s interesting. It’s like, half suit of armor, half scales… It’s strange… We’re in the process of building it now, so it’s coming along.”

This is exciting news for fans of Heard, who is an underrated actress who’s proven her chops, but almost fallen off the radar as of late. Mera is no small role and a character that longtime comic fans are eager to see on the big screen.

In an interesting twist, she will make her debut in 2017’s Justice League Part One before appearing in James Wan’s Aquaman, where she will of course star opposite Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa, as the queen of Atlantis.
