‘Batman v Superman’ and ‘Suicide Squad’ Are Among the Most Anticipated Films of the Year

We are already pumped up and jonesing to watch Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad on opening night when the movies were first announced, but how does everybody else feel?

Well, according the DAR Film leaderboards, Suicide Squad is number one in online audience anticipation with Batman v Superman at number four. Additionally, early social media tracking shows Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman digital anticipation is 500% stronger than other comic book-based movie adaptations based on standing at the same point pre-release. Batman v Superman is currently the number one film per social media traffic volume, followed by Suicide Squad and Deadpool.

ListenFirst Digital Audience Ratings (DAR) is a measure published by Variety to track the anticipation and buzz of a film via the amount of online traffic and hashtag usage from social media platforms, such as Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and Wikipedia.

With these kind of standings for both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, it looks like Warner Brothers is going to have some of the biggest box office numbers this year.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016.

Suicide Squad hits theaters later in the year on August 5, 2016.
