David Ayer Tweets New ‘Suicide Squad’ Artwork

In anticipation of the upcoming Dawn of the Justice League special set to air on Tuesday, January 21st, in which they will premiere the new Suicide Squad trailer, David Ayer took to Twitter. The prolific tweeter decided to release some new artwork for the Suicide Squad.

Take a look:

Personally, I love it. It reminds me of a old cartoony toxic label to warn users of hazardous materials, which obviously works because this is a band of… bad people. Though it is in the same dimensions of a poster and bears the release date, I’m hesitant to call it a poster. Most marketing for massive movie studios like WB don’t always create teaser posters like this. I would love for it to be the case, but it really makes more sense to market your movie with the movie stars that are currently in it, e.g. Will Smith.

Either way, it’s a pretty awesome piece of art.

Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5th.
