We at Dark Knight News hope all of our readers are having a splendid holiday season and have been enjoying our non-stop content this week. Much like you, we have obligations to our families, but still aim to bring you coverage that keeps you coming back for more.

I’ve always prided myself at reviewing anything sent my way. Most books you have seen reviewed on the site this week received the full treatment as usual, but the holidays still have somewhat of an effect. Rather than calling it a week, some of this week’s books will be collected into a roundup similar to what we have done with Vertigo titles as of late. Enjoy.

Titans Hunt #3

Writer: Dan Abnett

Artists: Paulo Siqueira, Geraldo Borges, Jackson Herbert

This fantastic new series somewhat evokes the feel of New Teen Titans with artwork that will make longtime fans feel right at home. Every character is well written, especially Dick Grayson. This intriguing, mature book surpasses even the current Teen Titans ongoing series and is not to be missed by DC fans who appreciate a good mystery.

The latest issue of Superman seemingly wraps up the Hordr_Root arc, while also closing the Mythbrawl chapter. The Man of Steel’s humanity is portrayed exceedingly well with Gene Luen Yang finding the right balance between action and storytelling. Some of the most rewarding parts come in the form of learning Hordr_Root’s background, which ultimately leads to a cliffhanger that sets up next week’s Superman Annual #3.

Although this issue sees heavy involvement from the Justice League, it remains an Aquaman story at its core. I will say that it’s an improvement over the previous issue, but most of its developments are saved for the final pages. It looks like all Hell (or Thule) will break loose next month.
