Last week’s episode of Gotham was, to me, rather fun. I’m not loving the fact that Penguin is once again under someone else’s rule, but I’m just hoping this ends with some satisfying conclusion. As in, he makes Galavan really suffer for messing with his moms. You don’t mess with the moms.
We’ve got a few photos and the preview for tomorrow’s episode entitled, “Scarification,” courtesy of ComicBook.com. Scarification sounds like such made-up word, doesn’t it? I’m fully aware that it exists, but it sounds like someone created it in a comic book or something.
Here’s the description:
In “Rise of the Villains: Scarification,” Galavan and Penguin join forces with a dangerous family in Gotham. Then, as the rivalry between the Waynes and the Galavans resurfaces, Gordon struggles to maintain order in the city.
Waynes vs the Galavans? Well, that’s certainly interesting.

The weak scream sounds like it came from Michael Chiklis. It looks like Gordon’s brief moment of finally working with someone who’s just as idealistic as him may have already come to an end. And of course, we find that Galavan isn’t the one pulling the strings here. I think I’ve buried the lead long enough… is that FIREFLY?! It’s gotta be, right? What other arsonist would rock a helmet with such large insect-like visors and wield a flamethrower?
Here are some photos:
Looks like Nygma and Kringle are on a double date with Lee and Jim. That’s quaint. I love Leslie’s “talk to the hand” action in one of the photos. Who knew she could be sassy?
But of course, I’ve got to address the ritual of which Galavan seems to be the center. Could this be the Court of Owls that we’ve been anxiously awaiting?
Find out tomorrow, Monday, October 19th at 8PM EST on Fox.
