Bob Kane to be Honoured with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is loaded with absolute legends of the entertainment industry and soon, Batman creator Bob Kane will have his very own star on the famous strip. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce confirmed that Bob Kane will be honoured under the category of “Motion Pictures” for his role in the creation of the Dark Knight. Batman has made the leap from comic-books to motion picture more times than any other superhero.

The celebration ceremony will take place on October 21, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. PST. In attendance, will be Zack Snyder (who is the lead on the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice blockbuster), and DC Entertainment’s very own Jim Lee. Both of whom will be guest speakers. As it was at SDCC this year, Batman’s Batmobile (from Batman v Superman) will be there too.

To add to the celebrations on the day, the character of Batman will also be receiving an award! It will be the Guinness World Records title for “Most Film Adaptations of a Comic Book Character.

Get down there on the day and be part of the iconic occasion! Long live the Bat!
