Mark Hamill Reportedly Voicing Joker in ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’

By now many of you know that an animated adaptation of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s definitive graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke will arrive on home video formats sometime in 2016. Droves of Batfans are hoping that the Joker will be voiced by Mark Hamill, who has lent his pipes to the character for more than two decades. Quite recently, it seemed that Hamill shared that sentiment.

What struck me as odd is that voiceovers for animated projects are recorded far in advance and were likely done for this project quite some time ago. Well, Collider claims that their sources confirm that Hamill has already recorded his part. This would make a lot of sense.

You see, I think Hamill was likely adhering to his NDA when stating that he wishes to be a part of the project. I also have a strong feeling that Kevin Conroy recorded for Batman and I have a deeper reasoning that may not be best to go into at this point. Stay tuned throughout the next year for more updates about this monumental project.

Also coming in 2016: Batman: Bad Blood and Justice League vs. Titans.
