DC Announces ‘Batman & Robin Eternal’ and ‘Robin War’

Those who devoured the year long weekly epic Batman Eternal will no doubt be elated by this news. It’s been known for a while that a sequel was in the works, but now we have a title: Batman & Robin Eternal. This new series will begin October 7 and ship on a weekly basis for six months. Another bombshell is that it will feature the return of Cassandra Cain.

Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV will serve as “showrunners” and they will be joined by writers Tim Seeley, Genevieve Valentine, Steve Orlando, Jackson Lanzing & Collin Kelly, and Ed Brisson. Tony S. Daniel, Paul Pelletier, and Scot Eaton will serve as rotating artists. Now that’s a killer lineup!

As for “Robin War,” it will be a crossover that will see Gotham Academy, We are Robin, and Robin: Son of Batman intersect for five weeks in December. The event will also be book-ended by two one-shots written by Tom King, Lee Bermejo, and Pat Gleason with art by Khary Randolph and others. Stay tuned for more details.
