Finally! Gotham Academy is returning to comic book shelves tomorrow.

That’s right. Now that DC’s Convergence storyline is over, school at the academy is back in session and writers Brenden Fletcher and Becky Cloonan are wasting no time turning up the volume.

Although updates have been fairly tight-lipped about some of the goings-on to expect in the title’s first issue back from a short hiatus, we do know that they’re bringing Damian Wayne aboard as a less than happy student visiting the school — a move that should make for some interesting dynamics, as well as, a myriad of future possibilities should they choose to invoke them. Also featured as part of the Gotham Academy #7 issue is artwork of the incredibly talented Mingjue Helen Chen.

These new additions fall right in line with the already light-hearted fun, expert storytelling and artful layouts we’ve come to expect from the Gotham Academy team. I can hardly wait to dig into every page. It’s going to be great. And if you haven’t been following the series so far, this issue would be a good stepping on point because the series is slated to continue through the summer on a monthly basis.

I’ll be reviewing each issue, along with sharing other news as it becomes privy so be sure to check back frequently for regular updates.
