Henry Cavill Says Batman V Superman is Not A Man of Steel Sequel

According to Henry “I’m Superman” Cavill, the follow up to Man of Steel is in fact, not a sequel to Man of Steel.  I know what you’re thinking, “But this happens after Man of Steel, of course it’s a sequel”. Well, yes and no. It is in continuity with the previous film, but to call it a Superman film would be egregious according to Cavill.

“I’ve only seen a little bit of ADR stuff, but that’s it, and that wasn’t even in color. I’m hoping to see it [the whole movie] some time this year, for a friends and family screening or something. But I really know nothing about what the finished product looks like. I wouldn’t call this a Superman sequel. This is Batman versus Superman, so it’s a separate entity altogether. It’s introducing the Batman character, and expanding upon this universe, which was kicked off by Man of Steel. It’s an introduction to the [Batman] character, and ultimately an introduction to ‘Justice League.'”

So this film is more of a DC Superhero film that is also staring Superman. This isn’t entirely Clark’s movie like Man of Steel was. If the Man of Tomorrow says it, it must be true. He doesn’t even get top billing. Check it out for your self when Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters next year on March 25, 2016.
