Margot Robbie, Harley Quinn herself, just dropped a bomb in a recent interview. It looks like moviegoers will possibly get to see her play the psychiatrist turned villainess in more than one film. Here’s what she had to say about the possibility of returning to the role:
“Yeah, that’s daunting. You don’t need to have commitment issues to be frightened by the fact that you might have just signed 10 years of your life away. … But with her, it’s a character I don’t think would ever get boring. Ever. So if they did “Suicide Squad One,” “Two” and “Three,” I would be over the moon about it.”
It’s important that we observe she never confirmed a multi-picture deal, as some outlets have inferred; she simply said she might play Harley in a recurring role. If so, it may not be for a while because there isn’t another Suicide Squad or solo Batman movie on the horizon until at least 2020 and I don’t see her popping up in Justice League.
Margot will star alongside Jared Leto (The Joker) when Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5, 2016.
