The 2012 Warner Brothers blockbuster, The Dark Knight Rises, started off with Batman having not appeared since that fateful night that Harvey “Two Face'”Dent had died. In his search for Bane, Commissioner Gordon searched through the underground of Gotham and having come close to death was hospitalised by the super villain. John Blake, in his search for justice finds Bruce Wayne and asks him to return as the Dark Knight and restore order in his great city by confronting and taking down Bane.

John Blake is in his police uniform, which is representative of the character played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Gordon is in casual clothes.
