IMAX cameras used on the set of ‘Batman v Superman’

Batman v Superman has made its way to Chicago, which is the latest shooting location where reports have been flooding the web regarding the details of the latest scene in production. Various sites have reported that it may look like that fateful night Bruce Wayne witnessed the murder of his parents is being shot. The scene may be a flashback, or a dream that Bruce Wayne has at some point in the film. It’s been reported that locals on site in the area mentioned that they saw IMAX cameras on location shooting the scene. IMAX and Warner Brothers have worked together in the past with Christopher Nolan at the helm, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises both had scenes shot with IMAX cameras.

While no official announcements have been made by Warner Brothers or IMAX, slashfilm.com are reporting that they have a credible source confirming that IMAX cameras are indeed being used on the blockbuster film which is slated for a 2016 release.

IMAX consists of a 70mm frame when shooting delivering a superior resolution for scenes shot with those cameras. If indeed the Wayne murder scene is being shot with those cameras, we would assume other iconic scenes including large action sequences would also be using IMAX. Let us know what you think about the news, and what scenes would you like to see being shot with IMAX?
