For some odd reason, ever since Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice finally started principal photography, the rumors have died down… well, the less outrageous ones. (And yes, I am ignoring any bullpucky coming out of KDramaStarz.) Today, we’ve got some interesting bits that remain unconfirmed, but are definitely plausible.
An extra on the set of BvS spoke to GeekyTyrant to give a few juicy details. First off, the ending has already been shot. If we’re to believe this informative extra, it’s likely that the ending was shot somewhere on a sound stage to avoid any nosy neighbors from spoiling the movie.
Speaking of which, it’s best that I throw up a large spoiler warning now as we’re getting into some rumors that could ruin the movie for you, if they are true.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD
The most interesting bit here is that LexCorp has apparently acquired the body of General Zod and also some other remnants of the Kryptonians because, according to the extra, there’s a scene in which Bats breaks into LexCorp and steals Kryptonite. Though I cannot properly source it at this time, but if I remember correctly, Snyder has went on record saying that Kryptonite doesn’t exist in their universe. However, considering the rewrites and the decision to turn this into a interconnected cinematic universe leading up to Justice League, I suppose things changed… And that’s if we were to assume this extra speaks the truth.
Also, the scene that’s currently filming in Corktown, in which Bruce Wayne is running around amid the chaos and saving little girls, actually occurs during the events of the Supes v. Zod battle in the third act of Man of Steel, apparently as the battle is coming to a close. The extra explains that Wayne is on his way to Wayne tower (Wayne Financial?) in Metropolis when he witnesses the brawl.
Though it totally makes sense considering all the destruction we’re seeing at the Corktown set, it conflicts with the local news outlet reporting that the damage was caused by Lex Luthor. So, who are we going to believe? A news outlet with nary a clue as to what’s happening on set or an unverified extra who’s supposedly working on the film?
Personally, I love the idea that Bruce witnesses that controversial and devastating battle and spends the next few years plotting. All that destruction has got to have consequences, this being one of the many, and it’ll silence everybody who had such contention with it. Also, remember that Bats can defeat anyone if he has time to prepare. All that time preparing should put him on some equal footing with the Man of Steel. Just like Frank Miller’s Batman.
As usual, remember to keep your salt handy for emergencies. This stuff is highly corrosive and completely unconfirmed.
What do you think? Do you like the idea that Bruce was present for that battle? Or would you prefer another equally devastating battle for Bruce to see? Let me know.
