Batman:Eternal #15 Review

Synopsis: Who is behind the hell beneath Arkham Asylum? Can Batwing and Jim Corrigan hope to stop it before it breaks out and consumes all of Gotham City?

Herein lies the problem with Batman:Eternal #15: Batwing, Jim Corrigan, Red Robin, Harper Row, Batgirl, Batwoman, Red Hood. Am I missing someone?

BATMAN!

For example, here’s what the issue opens up with:

The issue focuses way too much on “updating” the other story lines, that we get one page of The Dark Knight… and it’s the opposite of last week’s issue.

A handshake the Batman wouldn’t give a week ago. Hmm…

Anyway, here’s a few things to look for:

  • Arkham Asylum
  • Uninvited guest
  • Creepy basement
  • Crane the blood puppet
  • The confusing handshake
  • Oh yeah, South America
  • Bygones be Bygones

I’m not going to waste anymore time. This issue stinks. I love the art, I’ve always been a fan of Dustin Nguyen. The writing isn’t bad either, it’s just a Batman series without Batman, which is kind of the main reason we buy the issue.

The most exciting page of the issue? A preview for Batman Day!
