Beware the Emmy Winner?

We all know Beware the Batman has gotten a certain lack of respect from Cartoon Network, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been noticed. The wonderful cartoon has actually gotten nominated for a Daytime Emmy for “Outstanding Children’s Animated Program. More specifically, for episode no.2 called “Secrets.”

Finally, BTB gets some respect! Here’s a recap of it’s life on the network.

  • Premiered in July of 2013 during the DC Nation block.
  • After airing 11 episodes (and leaving us with a cliffhanger!), the show was pulled with no explanation.
  • Rumors swirled it would return in January of 2014.
  • It didn’t, still no explanation.
  • Last week, announced it will air its final 15 episodes Saturday night/Sunday mornings at 3am starting in July.

So stay tuned, I guess. This is the third DC comics-based show that’s been pulled by the network, and is also ANOTHER one that is reviewed well by fans and critics alike.

The Dark Knight will rise again!
