Rumor: Jason Momoa has Joined cast of Batman Vs. Superman

According to an undisclosed source, Conan star Jason Momoa has already signed on for the Man of Steel follow-up, Batman Vs. Superman.

There have been rumors going around for quite sometime regarding this generation’s Conan the Barbarian, Jason Momoa and Batman Vs. Superman. Back in December, there were rumblings that the Game of Thrones star was in talks for a role in the highly anticipated (depending on who you ask) Man of Steel sequel (is it still a sequel?). Back then, the word from a certain producer was that he was likely to play Doomsday. The following month, Momoa outright denied any involvement in the flick.

The big news circling the web at the moment is that Momoa has supposedly signed on and, in fact, had already done so for a couple of months now. The role has not been confirmed, but a lot of news outlets are jumping the gun (again!) and assuming that that role is Aquaman, after another rumor surfaced in January that he was intended for the King of Atlantis.

There are two possible hypotheses that can be extrapolated from this piece of news: 1) He was lying to the press, which isn’t uncharacteristic of DC/WB, 2) It’s a load of hogwash. The scoop comes from an undisclosed, trusted source, so it remains completely unconfirmed in any official capacity. Even the outlet reporting the scoop lists it as a rumor, so it’s very important to remember that a block of salt a day keeps the Batman Vs. Superman rumors at bay.
