Batman vs. Superman: First Filming?

The as-of-yet untitled Batman/Superman movie gets the film rolling this weekend. A scene for the movie is set to be filmed at East Los Angeles College Weingart Stadium this Saturday. During halftime, the stadium will be transformed into Gotham University’s home stadium as they battle their rival, Metropolis State University. The filming should take three takes, and about 20 minutes. The first 2,000 people who sit in the filming area of the event will receive T-shirts designed by director Zack Snyder for those participating in the filming, and prizes will be raffled throughout the night. The crowd will be sporting Gotham City’s colors, black and gold.

This is exciting, as I can’t help but instantly think of the “Gotham Rogues” scene in The Dark Knight Rises. More than that, this movie is finally starting to film! Whatever your stance has been on this movie thus far, you have to at least be interested in seeing the beginning stages of this movie, and if THIS is just the beginning, I can’t wait to see what the main event is.

If you or someone you know is attending this weekend’s game in L.A., please send your pictures to Dark Knight News by e-mailing our website, or posting them on our facebook page. We’d love to see them.
