Want to Be an Extra in Batman vs. Superman?

A website dedicated to populating big studio movies with unpaid extras has gotten the job fill up Batman vs. Superman and has already began recruiting.

Ever dreamed of running in the streets of Metropolis from what could be certain destruction? Hoping to one day fill a seat in a Wayne Enterprises press conference? Ever wanted to do both? Well, it looks like you may have a chance. Notwithstanding my horrible examples, which I have no knowledge will be the case if you sign up, it looks like a little website called BeinaMovie.com will be able to grant some wishes and fulfill some dreams. BeinaMovie has been tasked with filling up Batman vs. Superman with some unpaid extras. Remember, you’re not getting paid with real money. They do, however, reward you with the experience of seeing a big studio flick being made as well as free lunch and snacks. There may be a possibility that you could see some of the actors in the flick, but from my research, that’s unlikely. The downside is that you end up waiting around… for a long time as shoots generally tend to go much longer than scheduled depending on if the director got what he needed for the day.

So with all that being said and you’re still interested and are at least 18 years old, in Los Angeles on October 19, from 5:00PM to 10:00PM, be sure to sign up here. The website stresses that if you do sign up, you must be sure that you are going to show. They need that information to determine how much food to bring. Remember, this is all free, so there’s not too much to complain about. A few days prior to the shoot date, they’ll e-mail you the details, so look out for it. Above all, make sure you try to have fun and know you are going to be a part of history!

This is one of the many times where I really regret not living in LA. Though I fully anticipate this experience to be grueling for any average Joe, I would love to be able to experience a movie being made. Get a real education on set… sort of. And I feel like all you would need is a few great friends to spend the time with and you’ve got yourself a fantastic and memorable day.

Is this something worth attending? Or will this be good opportunity to go in and judge Batfleck for yourself? Let me know.
