SDCC 2013: Batman: Arkham Origins Gameplay Footage, Look at New Skins

WB Montreal provides playable demo of Batman: Arkham Origins at SDCC. Also, footage of panel show a better look at the new skins. Click the jump to see more.

In the wake of the Batman/Superman news, a lot of other stuff fell by the wayside. And rightly so, because this is the stuff that comic book fans have been dreaming about since they’ve been putting these characters to screen, separately. Hell, I literally cried when I saw the Bat insignia appear behind the S shield in the announcement video. But that’s beside the point, the point being is that we’ve found gameplay footage of Batman: Arkham Origins.

The video contains part of the Arkham Origins panel that was held at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, which features the announcement of the Batman One Million skin and the Worst Nightmare skin. We get somewhat of a better look at the skins, but the angle and the quality of the video don’t really do the skins any sort of justice, so we should wait for some high-res pics to pick it apart and/or appreciate them.

The second half of the video contains footage of the playable demo featured at the convention. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything really new to see, aside from the little post-fight analysis that it provides for you on the top left corner of the screen. As far as skins are concerned, though I know I am far too lazy to try to unlock the Worst Nightmare skin, at least there isn’t any additional charge for it like some other companies tend to do for neat little extras.
