Jeff Robinov Officially Resigns From Warner Bros: Studio Promotes Three New Executives.

Warner Bros. has confirmed that Jeff Robinov is leaving. Simultaneously, they are also promoting Executives Sue Kroll, Greg Silverman and Toby Emmerich as leaders in their movie division.

Despite The Great Gatsby and Man of Steel’s successful openings weekends, Robinov still handed in his resignation. It is reported that the new Warner Bros. Chief Executive, Kevin Tsujihara had a dodgy working relationship with Robinov for quite some time. Moreover, as soon as Tsujihara was promoted to CEO, Robinov’s status became unclear. Tsujihara is also responsible for the reorganization of the Warner Bros. Television Unit.

The memo from Tsujihara and Meyer reads:

Dear Colleagues:

We wanted to share with you the attached press release that outlines a new management team for the Warner Bros. Pictures Group, which will continue the Studio’s position as the industry’s leading film production and distribution entity. We are excited about this announcement and hope you will join us in congratulating Sue Kroll, Greg Silverman, Toby Emmerich, Dan Fellman and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg.

We also want to let you know that Jeff Robinov will no longer serve as President of Warner Bros. Pictures Group and thank him for his years of valued service to the company in that position.
Best regards,

Barry Meyer and Kevin Tsujihara (Movie.Yahoo/News)

The newly promoted Executives will be responsible to lead accordingly:

Kroll, president of worldwide marketing, adds international distribution to her duties. Silverman, president of production, will also become president of creative development and worldwide production at Warner Bros. Pictures. New Line Cinema President and Chief Operating Officer Emmerich will continue to oversee that production company and assume responsibility for Warner Bros. Theater Ventures, which is its live theater division. (latimes.com).

Robinov was responsible for bringing Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder to the studio. He also enjoys a good relationship with them. He was the one who introduced Nolan to deliver the Batman Begins movie. This may mark a negative turn for Warner Bros. Studios as the aforementioned directors may not be too keen to work for Warner Bros. now because their loyalty to Romanov is so strong. However, nothing is reported or confirmed just yet.
