UPDATED: SCREENS. Game Details & INFO, DS/VITA VERSION

Game Informer got the scoop from Warner Bros. Games Montreal about the new Batman Arkham game. Warner Bros. Games Montreal  will be taking over Rocksteady Studios place and has full access to Rocksteady’s custom modified Unreal engine to capture the look and feel of the Arkhamverse.  Yay!

So, what should you expect? As the title suggests, the game takes place years before both of the previous Arkham titles when a young, unrefined Batman encounters many supervillains for the first time. On our full cover image below, fans will recognize the assassin Deathstroke, who appears for the very first time in a core Arkham game. The vision of the game is being directed by The Creative Director, Eric Holmes. Holmes is known for being the lead designer of open world action hits The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype. A self-professed lover of comics, Holmes even wrote the miniseries Transformers: Megatron Originfor IDW.

What’s the story line? Deathstroke leads, “Eight of the best assassins in the world have come to Gotham City for one night, Christmas Eve of all nights, to kill the Bat.”

When will this game be out? Gamers won’t have to wait long to experience Batman’s lastest adventure. Batman: Arkham Origins releases October 25, 2013 on Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Other things: They’ve also announced that the first handheld entry in the franchise will be available on the same day. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will launch for the 3DS and PS Vita and is a different experience that picks up after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins.
