Injustice: Gods Among Us has a comic book title and it is epic. No one is safe, no one will be spared! PEOPLE WILL DIE! Click the jump to see more.
PLOT: Based on DC’s latest highly anticipated video game from the makers of Mortal Kombat! This prequel explains the events leading up to the start of this epic game!
REATION: Wow! Just wow! People don’t usually read digital comics because the printed comics are more empathized on by DC Comics. So, when something like Injustice: Gods Among Us comes out rarely do people know about it. The Mortal Kombat inspired DC fighting game has come out with their comic book title to tell the prelude story of how DC Comics’ major superheroes ended up fighting against each other. It’s a cool concept and it’s worth the read by writer, Tom Taylor (writer of Legends of The Dark Knight) who has impressed DC with his writing. Taylor will now have a wider range of freedoms to take on multiple DC superheroes and play with them!
PRAISES: The cool thing about digital comic books is that they’re short, sweet, and to the point. You can get your fix immediately in about ten pages. Taylor knows how to build up a story without diving in too much. From the get go, Taylor establishes the two main popular superheroes, Batman and Superman. He introduces or rather shares a scene between the two characters that is classic Batman & Superman dialogue. Batman talks to Superman with a condensing voice while Superman takes Batman’s insults like a best friend would. It is classic Batman and Superman with a modern look and twist.
The ending was a shocker and it just definitely introduces the notion that “No one is safe” in Injustice: Gods Among Us. The fact is that no superhero, villain, or civilian is safe from being shot, killed, or persecuted so Taylor holds no bounds. You might get upset at who dies and who lives, but it will surely make you want to read more each week to see what’s next. For Taylor, this is his universe and he is the god of Injustice: God Among Us.
DISAPPOINTMENTS: What the hell? Lois Lane has red hair? Oh no, no, no, NAH! She is a brunette and a damn good looking one. This is not to say the red head Lois isn’t good looking, nah, but for years we’ve known Lois as a brunette. So, one might be shocked and displeased by it. People will get used to it in time, but it should be noted that the Man of Steel movie has an influence on the Injustice game and in this comic book title.
Rating: 9.9/10, COOL MUST READ!
