What’s the Clown Prince of Crimes to do with his sweet betrayal of a girlfriend, Harley Quinn? Click below to read.
Ya love her, ya hate her. Girls love her and guys just adore her because she’s GOD DAMN, HARLEY QUINN!
Since the back-up story in Batman #13 that written by Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV, we found out that Joker was pissed at Harley for moving on without him. But, what’s a girl to do when her boyfriend up and leaves her with a torn off face as a souvenir? Well, Adam Glass (writer of Suicide Squad) explains the relationship between Harley and Joker for Suicide Squad #14:
Her relationship with the Joker – he’s been gone, and she didn’t know where he is. She hoped he was coming back, but she was confused and in a whole new situation. She’s finding
herself…and I feel these are all very natural things that ground her and make her realistic. And we’ll find out down the line – did she make a mistake, is this OK? Everything’s pretty much on the table now. There’s a lot of love, there’s a lot of hate. And when it comes to these two (Joker and Harley), it’s like nothing else. So somebody might have a fight with their boyfriend or wife, it might go a certain way. With these two, it’s going to be something certainly different. I think there’s going to be a lot of fireworks, and everybody should see it!
Suicide Squad #14 will show a bit of the love/hate relationship between Joker and Harley. Maybe this issue will show more of the love than the hate shown in Batman #13, which held true to the abusive relationship Harley has with Joker. I think Suicide Squad will be more of a loving portrayal of the two characters.
