COMICS TO LOOK OUT FOR NOVEMBER 7TH

See this week’s Batman comics’ previews: Detective Comics, World’s Finest, Batwing.

This is the first week of Batman comic books. Batwing #14 is still written by Judd Winick, after this issue it will be written by Fabian Nicieza. Nicieza has a huge career as a Marvel writer (X-Men, Deadpool, X-Force, Cable & Deadpool, and Thunderbolts). As a DC writer, he has done  a couple of comic books such as Justice League: Midsummer Night, JSA Classified, Nightwing, Robin, and Azrael: Death’s Dark Knight.  So more or less, Nicieza has a good track record. Hopefully, he might able to salvage some of Batwing into being a respectible Batman comic book for next month’s issue. As for World’s Finest, Damian will be stealing the issue as he is featured in Issue #6. The reason for using Damian is to make Huntress appear more connected to the Batman Universe. I must say this will be hard to pull off since Paul Levitz (writer of World’s Finest) hasn’t been doing all that well with fans.

One of the best Batman books coming out this week is ultimately, Detective Comics, which will continue the “Emperor Penguin” story arc. Poison Ivy is supposed to feature in this issue, but how much of a factor will she be? I guess we’ll find out.
