DESCRIPTION OF THE JOKER FOR THE NEW 52 BATMAN

The DC Panel at Baltimore Comic Con featured Dan Didio, Scott Snyder, Jeff Lemire, and Greg Capullo.  Capullo showed Bleeding Cool‘s Will Romine a sketch of The Joker from his iPhone. Romine describes The Joker below:

The best way I can describe Mr. J’s new look is to say that it’s like the

Joker

Joker made a mask of his own face. The eyeholes don’t quite line up with his eye sockets and the borders of the skin look frayed, almost like the scarecrow’s mask rendered in skin.

Awhile back, Jock, who has worked with Scott Snyder on the Batman story arc, “Black Mirror.” He released an instagram of The Joker showing exacting how The Joker will look in October. The picture is down below if you haven’t seen it. Jock’s illustration may not be Greg Capullo’s design, but it is the closest illustration we have gotten.

What do you think of the new Joker? Do you think Greg Capullo and Scott Snyder will pull off the greatest Joker in DC Comics? Which horror character do you think is the Joker related to from Will Romine’s description?
