CATWOMAN IN JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA? WAIT, WHAT!?

So much is going on in DC Comics lately, Rob Liefeld leaving and going after Batman for being so popular. Scott Snyder duking it out with Rob Liefeld defending the integrity of Batman. Now, Catwoman is part of the Justice League of America. It’s topsy turvy!

Geoff Johns who is writer of Justice League is now going for the non A-list characters for Justice League of America.  The interesting thing about this is that Catwoman is not a B-list or C-list character. Every one knows who she is, but it is the fact that you wouldn’t expect her to be part of a good doer team squad like Justice League. It’s a little bit out of her field, here’s what Geoff Johns says about Catwoman joining the League:

Catwoman is a very different perspective, and is brought in for a very different reason. She stays because they have something that she wants… And it’s not at all what you’d expect. It’s not a big diamond, it’s not a get out of jail free card, it’s something she’s been searching for that’s going to lead to a whole exploration of a side of Selina Kyle we haven’t yet seen.

What an exploration of Selina Kyle we’ll be getting. She is not the only female on the team, there’s also Stargirl who is the ever popular Hollywood starlet of the team. Now, I’m more interested in seeing the interaction between Stargirl and Catwoman because they are seriously polar opposites. It might be gettin’ real up in Justice League of America.

She (Catwoman) is going to be the Veronica to Stargirl’s Betty, if you will, and she has a new dynamic because we haven’t really seen her interact much with all these characters.

Catwoman is Veronica from the classic comic book, Archie? Whoa, we’re going old school there. I guess it’s the best way to describe as being the most skeptical and a true real bitch. Well…that’s how I saw Veronica, sue me.  We’ll be seeing Justice League of America coming in early 2013. DKN will be covering the comic book. So stay tuned!
