There have been speculation as to whether or not The Dark Knight Rises will beat The Dark Knight‘s international box office record of $468 million, and it appears that it will. The final Batman film has just peaked at $407 million, and still has yet to premiere in China, one of the biggest box offices in the world. It is also likely that it will surpass The Dark Knight‘s world-wide gross of $1 billion.
