COMICS TO LOOK OUT FOR AUGUST 15TH (UPDATED)

Oh damn! August 15th is going to be crazy with like six comic books coming out in one day! I have a few favorites right now since I’m a bit caught up with most of these comic books. Nightwing #12 will be the end of “The Republic of Tomorrow” story arc with Nightwing’s super cool villain, Paragon. It seems that little Damian Wayne will be premiering with Dick. I hope Damian is not going to kick Dick’s ass because in Batman & Robin , Dick didn’t even put up a fight. Justice League #12 sounds quite promising since the last issue in my opinion with the Valley of Souls where the heroes are facing their dead loved ones. Batman may be a bad ass psychologically, but actually seeing his dead parents and being able to talk to them…yea that’s not going to end well for him. Birds of Prey is looking as another promising issue since last time with Poison Ivy using the team to benefit her. See…Batman knows best, don’t trust the green bitch!

I’m not looking forward to Catwoman #12, Batwoman #12, or Red Hood & the Outlaws #12. Catwoman is ending on a crappy note with a Raggedy Anne villain who wants revenge. Batwoman is having Wonder Woman in her issue, which to me is like an “oh damn” moment (I’m not a fan of Wonder thighs). Red Hood and his goonies are still in outer space doing some 1980’s version of Heavy Metal, which is cool but that’s been so done before. I’m just looking forward to how much Kenneth Rocafort can pull off highly sexual costume designs for the female aliens in this issue. The fact that Scott Lobdell and Rocafort can really get away with this stuff, baffles me. At this point with Lobdell and Rocafort, I have to roll my eyes.

Enjoy your week’s comic books and check down below for when your favorite comic books will be coming out. Expect reviews for each comic book. Comment down below, DKN Facebook, or DKNewsCom on which comic book is your favorite and how do you feel about some of the recent issues lately?
