NOLAN STATES THAT TDKR IS NOT MEANT TO BE POLITICAL

For those who have seen The Dark Knight Rises  (don’t spoil it) before everyone else yesterday night (lucky bastards) can help form some opinions about whether Christopher Nolan’s take on the last movie of the trilogy is political. Now, if you’ve been with DKN (Dark Knight News) you know that others on the team and I have predicted that the movie would be controversial. Since the economy is down (not as severely as before, but still down) throughout the world, there have been riots in the United Kingdom and occupying capitalistic buildings such as Wall Street in New York City.  The whole world is in an uproar with all the social injustice and this movie happened to capture that issue. Now is Nolan a fortune teller? I mean did he just sit down with David S. Goyer and Jonathan Nolan predicting how the world will be in 2012? If he did, Nolan is better than all those other guys who predicted the end of the world in 2011. All I can say is this, history repeats itself too damn much and we fail to learn from it. Even with the help of Charles Dickens book, The Tale of Two Cities, we (the world) continue to make the same mistakes. Here’s Nolan stating that the movie is not political go down below to see the clip.

Comment below about what you thought of The Dark Knight Rises, political or just a plain ole great movie? What other social injustices have you seen in the world that is reflected in the movie (with very little spoilers, please)?
