DC unveiled eight new titles in 2026, including a new Batwoman comic, a revival of Shadow of the Bat, and a series starring Barbara Gordon.
At another New York Comic Con panel, the publisher revealed the list of characters with series as a part of their Next Level initiative. The titles include the following Batman-related comics: Batwoman; Barbara Gordon: Breakout; and Shadow of the Bat. Other non-Bat comics include Deathstroke; The Demon; Firestorm; Lobo; and Zatanna.
Interestingly, DC did not specific who the creative teams are for these titles or exactly what the comics are about with a few exceptions. However, they listed the various creators who will helm the books. They include: Jeff Lemire, Tony Fleecs, Jamal Campbell, Josh Williamson, James Harden, Mariko Tamaki, and Deniz Camp.

‘Batwoman’s Creative Team Revealed
In addition to those creators, the panel revealed the creative teams for Lobo and Batwoman.
Skottie Young and Jorge Corona will create Lobo. But most excitingly, Greg Ruka returns to be the writer on Batwoman. The artist Dani and colorist Matt Hollingsworth will be join him.
The new Batwoman series will be set in Greece. According to Rucka, it was a long-gestating storyline. The last time he wrote the character was over a decade ago in Detective Comics along with artist JH Williams. DC did have a Batwoman series when it launched the New 52 in 2011 and ran for about 25 issues.
Batwoman hits comic shops in March 2026. However, the other titles will have specific release dates soon.
