Absolute Evil will be the first crossover storyline in the Absolute universe.

Absolute Evil looks to be the origins of this universe’s version of the Legion of Doom. The comic will show some of the biggest named villains in the Absolute comics banding together.

Who’s Who in ‘Absolute Evil’

We’re promised to get Ra’s al Ghul, Veronica Cale, Hector Hammond, Elenore Thawne, and the Joker starting to form a union. Cale is from Absolute Wonder Woman, while Absolute Green Lantern most recently introduced Hector Hammond, and Ra’s has popped up in Absolute Superman. Elenore Thawne appears to be a gender-bent version of the Flash’s nemesis Eobard Thawne aka the Reverse-Flash. Finally, the Joker has been teased throughout Absolute Batman, all though  fans have yet to fully see what he looks like or what’s up with that throne of babies.

The one-shot comic that connects the Absolute universe will come in October to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the wildly-successful Absolute line of comics.

The creative team consists of writer Al Ewing and artists Giuseppe Camuncoli, and Stefano Nesi. Absolute Evil is a one-shot special that promises to change the Absolute universe moving forward. Additionally, it will introduce the Absolute versions of two new fan-favorite characters.

My guess? Well, lets just say that Absolute Lex Luthor has still yet to make an appearance…

The Rest of the Absolute Line

In addition to the Evil one-shot, the other Absolute titles will either introduce a new Absolute villain to their comic or head towards a climatic showdown with their villain.

Absolute Batman #13 introduces the new version of Catwoman, as Batman and Bane have their final face-off.

As one can see, Catwoman has dramatically different headgear. She honestly looks like the Spider-Man villain Mysterio. But we should also point out that her headpiece is also very reminiscent to the helmet that the Black Mask adorn in the “Zoo” story arc. Does Selina have a connection with the Black Mask or his gang?

Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #11 Main Cover by Daniel Warren Johnson

Lastly, Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1 will be released. Daniel Warren Johnson writes and draws the annual, along with artists James Harren and Meredith McClaren. It will go in-depth about the origins of the Batmobile, as well as more details of Batman fighting against the Black Mask’s gang.

Absolute Evil #1 hits comic book shops in October 1st. Absolute Batman #13 comes out on October 8th. The 2025 Annual comes out October 29th.
