John Malkovich is Decked Out in Jack Nicholson Joker Attire for Photoshoot

John Malkovich comes off as a relatively kooky person who takes his acting very seriously, despite choosing some interesting roles.

While Malkovich was highly regarded in Places in the Heart and In the Line of Fire, I’ve only ever seen him in small weird roles in movies like Red and Being John Malkovich, both of which showed him act a complete fool, while still being utterly entertaining. So, I guess this piece of news sorta makes sense.

As I said, Malkovich is a bit kooky. My evidence speaks for itself: He recently teamed up with a photographer by the name of Sandro Miller to re-enact iconic photographs or scenes from movies. This involves makeup and costumes. Most are funny, some are bizarre, others are downright unnerving.

Don’t believe me, check out the photo below:

Now that I’ve got your attention, the news relevant to Batfans is that Malkovich basically cosplayed Jack Nicholson’s Joker from Tim Burton’s Batman for this photoshoot. While it doesn’t seem to be identical to Nicholson, the hallmarks are there and it makes you wonder if Malkovich could in fact pull off the role.

Take a look:

Stunning photos, to say the least. While I can’t be certain he’d be a good Joker, I know that he’ll radiate joy and charisma if these photos are any indication. You can tell that he had a ball putting on the iconic makeup.

While it’d be fun to think what he’d bring to the role, WB these days are going for a younger actor for the live-action movies. However, there’s no telling if they’d consider him for a voice role. Mark Hamill should always be the Joker, but if he’s busy with something else, let Malkovich have a go at it.

Check out the rest of the photos here.

What do you think? Would John Malkovich be great as the Joker? Let me know.
