Get Ready for ‘Old Lady Harley’

Come October, DC will release a five-issue mini-series Old Lady Harley starring an old Harley Quinn.

Old Lady Harley will be scripted by current Harley Quinn writer Frank Tieri and drawn by Mauricet. For Tieri, Old Lady Harley is nothing but ridiculous fun.

“Think of it this way… if Harley Quinn #42 was your appetizer, then Old Lady Harley, that’s your main course right there. Your big, fat prime rib with a fully loaded baked potato, creamed spinach with everything is covered in gravy.”

The events of latest issue of Harley Quinn springboards the mini-series. Now it is the future where Harley is 30 years older, but still pretty crazy. If the official solicitation is any indication, then the whole mini-series will be equally bonkers.

Official Solicitation

After liberating New York City from her now-feral Gang of Harleys, poor Harley wants nothing more than to slip back into retirement in her coastal (and heavily guarded) paradise. But the Laughing Boys Gang has another idea—they’ll follow her to the ends of the Earth, to drag her back to their leader! It can’t actually be…him! Right?! He couldn’t still be alive could he? After all…Harley killed him herself with her bare hands! Should she turn to President Power Girl for help! Or flee to the 51st state, Atlantis? Step into an insane version of a future DC Universe we all better hope we don’t live to see!

Harley Takes on the “Old Universe”

Naturally, comic fans cannot help but see the mini-series as a direct response to Marvel’s popular Old Man Logan storyline about a retired Wolverine. If that story is a template for this series, then watch out for some out-there concepts. Will Tieri be able to top Old Man Logan’s Venom T-Rex? Check out Old Lady Harley on October 24, 2018.
